ABOUT SUSAN

Susan Kanode is a free-lance writer, photographer and

public relations specialist  living in Paradise, Texas.

Thanks for visiting. I grew up on a working cattle ranch in Northeast Colorado. My experiences on the ranch gave me a love for the Western lifestyle, animals and everything related.

After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Agricultural Journalism, I moved to Dodge City, Kan., where I was the first woman ever hired in the editorial department of the High Plains Journal. That was a great learning experience and set me  on my path.

I took some time away from journalism and explored my creative instincts designing Western apparel. Those experiences taught me a lot about color and composition. And, they took me on travels to Hong Kong, India and the United Arab Emirates.

It was a great experience, but I soon found my way back to my roots, and a job with a national sponsor of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Since then, I've been traveling, writing stories about rodeos and their contestants, taking pictures and encouraging effective media coverage.

My clients have included rodeo stock contractors, sponsors, contestants and ranchers. I have a variety of professional resources  including videography, web designers and graphic artists. If you need photos or a complete public relations campaign --- It can be done.

I've always said that resourcefulness is one of my best qualities. I hope you can let Cowgirl Imaging be a resource for you!  It's the COWGIRL WAY.

HAPPY TRAILS,

Susan
